    A long lasting fragrance

A perfume is something very special. It can express or create moods and underlines the unique personality of a person. At the same time, each person has their own preferences and usually their favorite fragrance. Often we also choose our fragrance according to the occasion. Thus, the daytime perfume is usually an unobtrusive, light fragrance. Especially in the office it should be rather discreet. In the evening, it may be a little more intense, sweeter or more exotic. Also, in summer a light fragrance is usually more pleasant, whereas in winter we like to reach for a slightly heavier fragrance. Fragrances also have an effect on our counterparts. They can seem familiar or attractive, feminine and masculine or playful. Every person wants to smell good - all day long. Perfume is something exclusive and stands for a well-groomed person. It can also suggest pure luxury. It is important to us how we appear to our counterpart. That is why the question of durability and intensification of a fragrance is something that concerns many people. The positive answer is: yes, we can make a fragrance more durable on the skin, so that we are allowed to perceive and exude our favorite scent for longer, where perception actually deceives us.

In fact, during the day we can no longer perceive our own fragrance because our sense organ has become accustomed to it. Therefore, applying perfume also carries the risk of using too much. A cloud of fragrance can become just as unpleasant as an unpleasant odor. A well-considered dosage is therefore the basis of a pleasant fragrance.

To be able to smell a perfume nevertheless longer, one should fall back on a high-quality perfume.

This contains significantly more fragrance molecules, which give off a more intense scent. A good perfume also contains an oily base, which also provides more durability. A Eau de Parfum is also a sign of quality. The pure perfume, on the other hand, envelops its wearer in a special way and for hours with an exclusive cloud of fragrance. This is also the next valuable tip.

Apply your fragrance best after shower and care.

At this time, the pores are open and the fragrance molecules can be stored very well. Moisture is a particularly good base for applying a perfume. A creamy or oily base after application also ensures better durability, as the molecules adhere better here. The molecules can also penetrate the skin better and deeper. Therefore, never spray your fragrance on dry skin, as it will evaporate too quickly here. You also need a smaller amount of perfume to still create an intense effect. The fewest fragrances are contained in so-called eau de toilettes or eau de cologne. These fragrances evaporate correspondingly faster than the variants of the Eau de Parfum or perfume. It is therefore worthwhile to invest in a Eau de Parfum as this is more long-lasting and intense and the fragrances stand out particularly well and are not overshadowed by a high alcohol content. It will be especially intense and harmonious if you choose the matching lotion to your fragrance. This way, a double fragrance intensity develops. Otherwise, choose a neutral body lotion or petroleum jelly so as not to distort the fragrance. An alternative is also a lip balm as a base. The slightly waxy consistency preserves the scent for a particularly long time. Also the matching Shower Gel lip balm ensures delicately scented skin even during cleansing. In many cases, fragrances are offered as a package with the matching Shower Gel and the body lotion offered. Another secret tip is to mist the hair. For this purpose, there are also special hair perfumes that have been created especially for use in the hair. They usually contain less alcohol than normal perfume, which in turn protects the hair from drying out. Hair can also store the scent molecules for a particularly long time and sprays the scent with every movement. When the fragrance is sprayed into the air, simply stand under the cloud. This way you will be completely enveloped.

A common mistake is rubbing the skin together - usually the wrists.

This process destroys many fragrance molecules right after spraying. It is better to wait briefly until the fragrance has dried and been absorbed. Basically, contrary to many opinions, the fragrance should be sprayed on the parts of the body that have the least amount of blood flow and are therefore rather cool. These include the earlobes or the back of the knees. Body parts that are strongly supplied with blood, such as wrists, décolleté or the neck, provide a fast and intensive development of the fragrance. However, the scent is also quickly "exhaled" again and evaporates.

When spraying on, it should be noted that the fragrance is sprayed on from the bottom up as far as possible, since the fragrances settle towards the sky.

In this way, a particularly large number of fragrance molecules are absorbed and no precious drop is given away. In addition, there are fragrances that have a particularly intense and long-lasting scent. These include for example Amberleather, musk or woody ingredients. For this reason, these nuances are often taken as base notes. They can be perceived on the skin for up to 2 days. Citrus notes, on the other hand, fade very quickly and already after a few minutes.

A trick to make even fresh, light and citrusy fragrances last longer is to layer them.

A long-lasting fragrance is taken as a base, and sprayed over with a light fragrance. This way, the scent lasts longer, but also gives off its light floral or fruity notes. Of course, the fragrance can also be refreshed again and again throughout the day. This reactivates the scent molecules again and forms, even with different fragrances, a new and harmonious scent. Thus, every woman can also create her very special, own fragrance.

Proper storage of the bottle also ensures that the perfume lasts longer.

After all, a fragrance does not last forever. Fragrance molecules evaporate and oxidize, and a fragrance can also turn over and then unfortunately no longer smell good. It then gets a rancid note and in the worst case only the alcohol nuances stand out. Therefore, the bottle should always be protected from extreme temperature fluctuations. This applies equally to cold and heat. The bottle should also not be directly exposed to bright, aggressive sunlight. The best storage location is dark, dry and at room temperature. A small cabinet is ideal. A small secret tip at the end: Give a splash of your favorite fragrance with in the ironing water. This will give your clothes a pleasantly fresh note of your personal scent right away when you iron them.
